Why offer Corporate Pranayama?

According to the Vancouver Sun (July 2005) each $1 spent on yoga by a corporation returns approximate $3 to the employer. This is a result of employee’s increased general happiness and well being, and is in itself sufficient enough to financially justify a corporate program.  But there’s more:

  • Reduces Absenteeism
Pranayama revitalizes the immune system and the major organs of the body. Improved immunity means less workdays lost through colds, fatigue, etc.
  • Mental Capabilities Improve
Pranayama improves mental concentration and focus and improves problem solving skills.   Flashes of inspiration should become increasingly common.
  • Increased Ability to Stay Cool
Pranayama creates a genuine sense of inner and outer space.  Tightening deadlines, conflict and other stresses will lose their grip.
  • More Energy and Vitality
Pranayama awakens hidden reserves of energy so that drowsiness and fatigue are replaced by alertness and aliveness.
  • Increases Happiness
Yoga physiologically transforms apathy and depression by oxygenating the brain and increasing the endorphins in the blood.
  • Team Building
Taking Pranayama classes together creates a “shared-special-experience” bond between employees.

Pranayama Workshops

Tom’s two hour Workshop, “Pranayama, a Life-Transforming Practice,” provides practical, step-by-step explanation & practice of basic yogic breathing techniques.   Appropriate for complete beginners and for students with some Pranayama background, & for employees of any religious or spiritual persuasion. Can be taught on weekdays.

Pranayama Lessons

A Series of regular noon-time guided Pranayama lessons.  Forty minutes to an hour is a satisfactory time frame.  Your employees will float out of the session relaxed, happy and invigorated… and productive.  And more: having been introduced to what Pranayama can bring them, they can start a regular practice on their own, and the benefits to them (and thus to you) will multiply.

Workshops & Lessons
